Product description

This Suffolk thumb latch is made from hand-forged iron. It is a high quality product, with a beeswax finish and hand forged using traditional English blacksmithing methods. The design is based on timeless classics but hand-forging means no two pieces are identical, each one a unique yet functional work of art that will only enhance it's setting. The latch is hot forged i.e. drawn to shape, not welded or fabricated.

The latch comes complete with a screw in retaining arm staple or alternative nail in staple, and a door frame keep. The keep is designed to be nailed into the door frame and then a screw fitted to secure it strongly to the door frame.

These latches combine functionality, traditional looks and durability - they will enhance the look of any door and at the same time work as sturdy fully functional thumb latches. This thumb latch has the advantage of an extra long thumb bar, ideal for doors of 45mm-50mm in thickness. Comes complete with all fixings and screws. Also available with a normal length thumb bar.
