Product description

This nickel butler bell is made from solid brass and is a mechanical spring bell for use with an external bell pull rod (see below). The bell is based on an original Victorian design. It comes complete with pulleys and 4m of cord. When the cord is pulled, from an external pull rod, an arm attached to the spring on the bell is pulled to make it ring. The pulleys are used to guide the cord from the outside wall to the bell inside. The system uses an extension pulley to guide the cord out of the hole in the wall from the external pull rod, and a directional pulley to allow the cord to make a 90 degree turn to connect to the arm on the bell spring. Additional pulleys are available if necessary. (See below)

The bell comes with the option of a Flower disc centre or a Lady disc centre. It is also available in Brass.

Our butler bell is extremely high quality. Supplied with an extension pulley and a directional pulley, 4 meters of cord and full fitting instructions. You may require an option "Blanking Pulley" (See below) to cover the hole where the pull cord exits the wall from the external pull rod. A beautiful faithfully reproduced original Victorian design. Looks superb by any door for that authentic touch.

You will also need a "Blanking Pulley" if you don't have an existing one. This pulley is used to cover the internal hole where the cord comes through the wall from the outside pull rod, and the attached pulley guides the cord in the initial direction along the wall.
