Product description

Our Gothic Bell Pull comes from a traditional design and yet it's still perfect for our up to date modern lifestyles. It is made from malleable iron and given a black antique finish. This bell pull combines functionality, traditional looks and durability - it will enhance the look of any door and at the same time work as a functional bell pull. The bell pull set comprises of a bell pull with chain and a bell crank which can either be fitted or not fitted. You can purchase the bell pull as a complete set which includes the pull and the top crank (without the internal butler bell - Click here to purchase this separately) , or you can purchase the pull or crank separately. The crank at the top of the pull can be purchased in 2 types, fitted (electrical), or not fitted (mechanical): see below for details.

A fitted bell crank is basically a normal electric switch fitted into the crank. When the bell is pulled a lever arm pushes down onto the switch and makes the contact. The switch can be connected to any normal bell chime inside the house.

The not fitted version is a purely mechanical version, when the bell is pulled a lever arm is pulled down in the crank and this in turn pulls a cord which passes through a hole and into the house, where it pulls on a sprung bell to make it ring. The bell pull comes complete with all fixings and screws. It is available as a complete unit (without the internal butler bell - Click here to purchase this separately) or as just the pull rod or just the bell crank (the top part), and the crank is available fitted (electrical), or not fitted (mechanical)
