Product description

This Gothic thumb latch is made from hand-forged steel. It is a high quality product, with a pewter patina finish and hand forged using traditional English blacksmithing methods. The design is based on timeless classics but hand-forging means no two pieces are identical, each one a unique yet functional work of art that will only enhance it's setting. The latch is hot forged i.e. drawn to shape, not welded or fabricated. The pewter patina finish is elegant and beautifully highlights the texture of the steel. Stylish and modern, it is equally suited to a new home as well as a period one.

The latch comes complete with a screw in retaining arm staple or alternative nail in staple and a door frame keep. The keep is designed to be nailed into the door frame and then a screw fitted to secure it strongly to the door frame. The thumb piece passes through the door and raises the latch bar off the keep.

This latch combines functionality, traditional looks and durability - it will enhance the look of any door and at the same time work as a sturdy fully functional thumb latch. Comes complete with all fixings and screws.

Suitable for internal and external use.
