Fingerplates, also known as door plates and push plates, appeared in the 1800s.  Initially they served a functional purpose which was to prevent unwanted marks from the dailly contact of fingers on the doors of entrance halls and better rooms. Our fingerplates combine quality with durability. They will give any door a face-lift and they will last a lifetime. Many of these fingerplates have been hand cast in a British foundry using traditional methods which are over 100 years old. In conclusion, our fingerplates allow you to add individuality to any door whilst remaining perfectly functional.
