All our hooks range come ready to fit and pre-drilled with the screws included. In 1988 a number of original Victorian and Edwardian patterns were discovered in hidden corners of Rawnsley Foundry in Staffordshire. Many of the patterns found under years of dust and debris, have been restored to their original condition and castings have been produced from them. Cast in Style have been fortunate enough to acquire all of these prestigious patterns to keep the tradition alive. The discovery of these original patterns represents a significant find and gives a remarkable opportunity for discerning buyers to own and display domestic cast ironware crafted with all the skills and patience that make them so popular with the Victorians. "Cast in Style" castings are not reproductions, they are made from authenticated patterns, using the same methods and materials as originally used. Moulds are prepared by hand and molten iron is still poured by skilled craftsman. This ensures that the uniqueness and originality is maintained. Whether you are restoring a period property to its former glory, or just appreciate the finer things in life, a "Cast in Style" casting represents a unique opportunity to indulge yourself and your home. All "Cast in Style" patterns have been dated as accurately as possible and thanks are due to both National and local Museums, in particular the Victoria & Albert Museums, and the Black Country Museum. Where a date is shown it has been possible to authenticate the pattern at least or approximately back to that year and some may be well older. Please Note: All the hat & coat hooks come in a clear primed finish to enhance and retain the natural cast iron look.
