This Cottage Latch Set is made from hand-forged steel. It is a high quality product, with a beeswax finish and hand forged using traditional English blacksmithing methods. The design is based on timeless classics but hand-forging means no two pieces are identical, each one a unique yet functional work of art that will only enhance its setting. The latch is hot forged i.e. drawn to shape, not welded or fabricated.

The Cottage latch set is supplied with all fixing screws and an 8mm spindle. It also comes with a matching ring for the other side of the door with a rosette back plate. Made from steel including the bar and keeps, which makes it the only one in the country to be made like this. Available in either a left or right handed version. Maximum door thickness 70mm.

This latch combines functionality, traditional looks and durability - it will enhance the look of any door and at the same time work as a sturdy fully functional latch.

Please note the External Beeswax Finish is manufactured from an anti-corrosive beeswax which means that the ironwork can be used outdoors, it is recommended that the ironwork be maintained by occasional application with our beeswax maintenance wax.
