Our Chelsea gate mounted post box has been exclusively designed by Cast in Style and has been made from cast aluminium, which won't corrode, and cast to the very highest of standards making it a product you will be very proud of.
The post box has been specially designed to be mounted to a wrought iron gate easily. It uses 2 steel bars which are used to "sandwich" the iron bars of your gate between the post box and the steel bars, holding the post box securely onto the gate. Wing nut fixings are screwed onto coach bolts, which hold it all tightly onto your gate, from the inside of the post box, making it impossible to remove unless the front opening door is opened.
The post box will attach to gate bars up to 170mm apart, and can be mounted on horizontal or vertical gate bars.
We do a beautiful range of colours for the lettering on your Chelsea gate mounted post boxx. Each post box is individually hand painted in our workshop to your choice of gold, silver, white, or ivory lettering. Please note that if you choose to have the letters painted, the lead time for this item on an express delivery service is 2 working days.
Security & Mounting
It has a solid cast front plate and a solid cast back box. The post box comes complete as one assembled unit ready to mount to your gate.
The secure front door has an integrated lock with 2 keys to secure your mail. The letter box aperture is wide enough to take an A4 envelope. The front aperture has a cleverly designed gable to protect the mail from rain. The aperture also includes an upward slope, just though the aperture, to prevent anyone from putting their hand in to steel your post.
The post box includes the gate fixing key comprised of 2 steel bars and 4 coach bolts with wings nuts to use to fix the post box to your wrought iron gate.
