Blacksmith Beeswax Fanlight Catch with two Keeps

A traditional fanlight catch commonly used on bottom-hung casement windows. The sturdy loop allows high windows to be opened with a hook on the end of a long pole. Supplied with two keeps to allow for flush or recessed fitting. Suitable for inward-opening windows only. Supplied with matching SS wood screws. Beeswax is our most authentic finish for steel. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. All our Beeswax ironmongery offers a subtle matt richness and is a more natural, and far softer, alternative to a black powder coated finish. These products offer excellent internal protection when properly maintained. Supplied with matching SS bolt through fixings & SS wood screws.
