This Oxford Privacy Latch Set is made from hand-forged iron. It is a high quality product, with a black finish and hand forged using traditional English blacksmithing methods. The design is based on timeless classics but hand-forging means no two pieces are identical, each one a unique yet functional work of art that will only enhance its setting. The latch is hot forged i.e. drawn to shape, not welded or fabricated. This latch cannot be opened from the outside.
