Product Information

Our exclusive Clothes Airer Wall Support Brackets are specially designed by Cast in Style to allow you to mount any of our Kitchen Maid® clothes airers directly to a wall instead of the ceiling. They are the ideal solution if you have a suspended ceiling or if your ceiling joists are not in the right position. With these brackets, you can still enjoy the full functionality and beauty of our traditional airers, even when ceiling mounting isn’t possible.

Each bracket is supplied with a pulley fixing bolt. Our pulleys come with detachable screw rods, so you simply remove the rod and use the supplied bolt to attach the pulley securely to the bracket. Once fitted, the brackets are mounted on your wall and your clothes airer is suspended from them just as effectively as from a ceiling.

Brackets are sold individually.

Bracket Sizes

Small Brackets – Suitable for our 3 and 4 lath airers, and also the 5 and 7 lath Gismo airer.
Large Brackets – Required for our 5, 6 and 7 lath airers.

Important Information

Quantity Required

You will need one bracket for every pulley used with your clothes airer. As a minimum, all our airers require 2 pulleys, so you will need at least 2 brackets. If your model uses additional double pulleys, please ensure you purchase one bracket for each pulley. For this reason, brackets are sold individually.

IMPORTANT:

Screws are not provided because different wall types require different fixings.

Please select suitable fixings for your wall type and follow professional guidance.

Pulleys are not included, these are supplied with our clothes airer sets or can be purchased separately.

Recommended Fixings

General Guidance

Brick Walls – Use M6 Rawl Bolts. These are strong metal expansion bolts, widely available from DIY stores.

Plasterboard Walls – We strongly recommend fixing into the wooden studs behind the plasterboard using wood screws (at least 1.5 inches long). If this is not possible, use high-quality cavity fixings. We recommend "Gripit" fixings (RED for large brackets, YELLOW for small), available from www.gripitfixings.co.uk. BUT YOU MUST be sure this will hold the brackets and safely support the load, as plasterboard can be weak when under force from the airer in use.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many wall support brackets do I need?

You will need one bracket for every pulley used with your clothes airer. Most airers require a minimum of two brackets, while larger models with additional double pulleys will require one bracket per pulley.

Why are the brackets sold individually?

Different Kitchen Maid® clothes airers use different numbers of pulleys. Selling the brackets individually allows you to purchase exactly the quantity required for your particular airer.

What is included with each bracket?

Each wall support bracket is supplied with a pulley fixing bolt, allowing you to attach one of our detachable rod pulleys securely to the bracket before mounting it to the wall.
