Our exclusive Clothes Airer Wall Support Brackets are specially designed by Cast in Style to allow you to mount any of our Kitchen Maid® clothes airers directly onto a wall instead of the ceiling. They are the perfect solution if you have a suspended ceiling or if your ceiling joists are not positioned where you need them. With these brackets, you can still enjoy the full functionality and traditional beauty of our airers, even when ceiling mounting isn’t possible.

Each bracket is supplied with a pulley fixing bolt. Our pulleys come with detachable screw rods — simply remove the rod and use the supplied bolt to attach the pulley securely to the bracket. Once fitted, the brackets can be mounted to your wall, allowing your clothes airer to hang and operate just as effectively as it would from the ceiling.

You will need one bracket for each pulley used with your clothes airer. As a minimum, all airers require two pulleys, so you will need at least two brackets. If your model uses additional double pulleys, ensure you purchase one bracket for each of those too. For this reason, the brackets are sold individually.

Bracket Sizes:

Small Brackets – Suitable for our 3 and 4 lath airers, and also the 5 and 7 lath Gismo airer.
Large Brackets – Required for our 5, 6 and 7 lath airers.

IMPORTANT: Screws are not included because different wall types require different fixings. Please ensure you use appropriate fixings for your wall and seek professional advice if unsure.

Recommended Fixings (General Guidance):

Brick Walls – Use M6 Rawl Bolts. These are strong metal expansion bolts, widely available from most DIY stores.

Plasterboard Walls – We strongly recommend fixing into wooden studs behind the plasterboard using wood screws (at least 1.5 inches long). If that’s not possible, use high-quality cavity fixings. We recommend Gripit fixings (RED for large brackets, YELLOW for small). However, you must ensure your wall can safely support the load, as plasterboard can be weak when under the tension of an airer in use.

The above information is provided as general guidance only. You are responsible for ensuring the brackets are installed securely and appropriately for your wall type. Cast in Style cannot accept liability for incorrect installation.

You can also use these brackets as strong, decorative shelf brackets if desired.
