Beautiful COLOURS
We offer a wide range of colours, ensuring there's a perfect shade to complement any room. Our new Heritage™ colour range is designed for today’s modern grey tones, while our Traditional™ range remains one of the most popular colour choices. If you own an Aga, this is even more useful, as our colours have been developed to match perfectly with Aga ranges.
Made to LAST
Components are powder coated which is as tough as enamel. This means the coating not only looks great but is also guaranteed not to rust.
Why not add an Extra double pulley?
Why not add an extra double pulley to your airer? It will help you guide the rope along the ceiling to the corner where it can drop down to the cleat hook. If you have a long distance from the airer to the cleat on the wall, the addition of an extra double pulley keeps the rope at ceiling height and out of the way. It is also useful if you have a door behind the airer where you might need to walk under the rope.
UPGRADE your airer to a DELUXE version
Because we make our own airers, we can upgrade your Kitchen Maid® clothes airer with a choice of our Deluxe cast iron wheel pulleys or Standard nylon wheel pulleys. The deluxe version is superb if your airer is going to be in pride of place, as the wheels really enhance the appearance of the airer. The standard wheels are a great choice for a more discreet position.
If you have a white Kitchen Maid® airer, we even provide white wheels in the pulleys and coat the cast iron wheels in white so they match your whole airer.
See Our Clothes Airer Wall Support Brackets
Our specially designed clothes airer support brackets allow you to support any of our clothes airers from the wall rather than from the ceiling. They are ideal if you cannot fit our clothes airer pulleys into your ceiling because you have a suspended ceiling or your joists simply are not in the right position for you. Stop your Laths from Sliding with our Rubber Grippers
If set up correctly, your wooden laths will not fall out from your airer ends. However, from time to time they may slightly slide out of place. This can happen if your wooden laths are not able to protrude from the cast iron ends by our recommended minimum 10cm protrusion. For peace of mind, you can add rubber grippers onto your order. These grippers hold your laths in place, preventing them from sliding. Simply push the rubber rings onto the end of each lath as shown in the photo on the left. Alternatively, if you wish for the rings to be less noticeable, you can place them on the inside of the airer ends.

Our PULLEYS are SPECIAL
The components in our airers are unique to us. Unlike other pulleys, our pulleys are specifically designed for strength and durability. Lower quality imitations quite often snap during installation. Our pulleys conform to building regulation guidelines and have longer screw rods to clear ceiling insulation commonly found in new homes.
Our pulleys are highly adaptable. We are the only company that supplies pulleys with detachable 3-inch screw rods. Therefore, only Kitchen Maid® airers can be easily relocated into a new position. If you move house or relocate your airer, we will simply send you replacement screw rods to allow you to reinstall your clothes airer. You will not need to purchase new pulleys and we will do all this for FREE (this only applies to products ordered after 1st January 2009).
We can also provide extra long 5.5" screw rods for the pulleys if you need them. Click here to see the I3030 Extra Long Screw Rods if you would like to add them to your order.
EASY to Fit instructions
Our Victorian Kitchen Maid® pulley clothes airers can be installed in almost any ceiling space, including sloping ceilings and staircases. Our Kitchen Maid® pulley clothes airers are really easy to fit. Each airer comes with easy-to-follow installation instructions which can also be downloaded here. You can also see our installation video here.
SAVE on Spiralling fuel costs and HELP the Environment
Our Traditional Kitchen Maid® pulley clothes airer can help reduce the rising cost of your energy bills. Hoisted up to the ceiling, it dries up to 15kg of washing by using the naturally warm rising air trapped in the ceiling space of your home. By using a Kitchen Maid® pulley clothes airer instead of a tumble dryer, you could save yourself more than the cost of an airer in a year. Not only can you save a considerable amount of money, but you can also help the environment by reducing your carbon footprint. An average tumble dryer cycle uses just over 4kWh of energy and produces around 1.8kg CO2. Used twice a week, that’s 187kg a year!

We are the leading professionals in clothes airers. We have made clothes airers for over 30 years, which means we know exactly what is needed to make a high quality airer that not only looks fantastic but will last a lifetime. We are so confident in the quality of our products that we are proud to be the only supplier of clothes airers who will give a 5 year guarantee to replace any metal parts you are not happy with.
We CARE for our environment
This means you can buy an airer with complete confidence that all our specially kiln-dried redwood laths come from responsibly managed forests. All the boxes we use in our packaging come from 50% recycled cardboard.
Professionally HAND CRAFTED
Our laths are professionally hand linished and quality checked so we can assure you they will not have any rough edges that can lead to snagging of clothes or splintering.
Strong Organic ROPE
We supply high quality organic cotton lined, lifelong nylon rope which is much more durable than traditional jute rope. In fact, it is so strong that it is used on boats and yachts. This means that even if you load your clothes airer up to the maximum weight, you can have complete confidence that the rope will not break. We also give you the option of 15 metre rope if you have a high or sloping ceiling and need extra length.
